Criminals in Indian Politics

Everybody must be aware of various politicians who have criminal background and they are now running our country without any hassle. No need to tell how these criminal background politicians must had won their respective elections. But have you ever think of the situation when we all are under criminals and criminals rule this country. Now a days most wanted criminals are turning into more powerful politicians in this country.
Some of the criminals whose names I can recall are pholandevi, she is one of the biggest decoyt in chambal in Madhya Pradesh. But then they fought the election and won with huge margin. Do you think these kind of people must be allowed to contest the elections? In my view such kind of things must be banned and we have to put some strict criteria for contesting the elections i.e. person should not have any criminal record. And also that person should have some education background. This is not so easy to implement because if a person is under some charge sheet in any case in court then do court should restricts him for not electing the election. This is a little subjective thing because if a person is not convicted for any case then how court can stop him and as everybody knows it takes decades for court to finally convict the criminal, then this is kind of loop hole in this.
But do you think people like Sheboo Soren , Phoolan Devi , Babloo Shrivastav, Arun Gawli and now most wanted gagster Abu Salem should be allowed to contest the elections for most respectable position in this country.
In my view govt. and people of India will have to think hard on this to find the appropriate solution. Because just blaming the govt. is also not right as many of us are also supporting these kinds of leaders by giving our precious vote to them. Many of us will give vote to contestant whom they can contact easily without bothering about other people and his country. Statements which you will listen from those kind of people are “Apna kaam nikalna chahiye bas” and “Uska kutch bhi hoo humko kya farak padta hai”.
But this is kind of irresponsibility which we show towards our country.
So my request to govt. is to make some strict rules to keep these criminals away from politics otherwise they will wash out whole country in blackout.
And request to people is not to encourage these people in one or the other way.

Traffic and road condition in Pune

If you will travel from one side of the city to other side in Pune only then you will be able to understand the meaning of this frustration in this article. Some of the problems which commuters face daily on roads are:-
1. Bad Road condition with huge pot holes
2. Terrific driving sense of people.
3. Trafic police is always busy in collecting challans then doing there actual duty of contolling traffic and that too in the absence of inspector.
4. PMT buses don’t follow the lanes and keep changing there lanes even in heavy traffic.
5. Two wheeler drivers can overtake you from anyside anytime, so be ready for that.
6. People don’t have patience to stop at red light or at any chowk to let other cross which ends in deadlock of traffic jam.(You can find this very often)
7. Roads are blocked and diverted for bridges and for other work from past more that 2.5 years.
PMC (Pune Municipal Corporation) project them as most innocent and efficient working force in this country. But the truth is known to all local people. I will explain you this with example. Just Before last monsoon many of the road patches up work projects are distributed and PMC had given most of its projects to a single contractor. But then he fails to complete his work and whatever roads he had repaired it washed out in very first rain. But then one more drama starts from mayor of pune. She had given the statement that if roads are not repaired in 4 days then she will resign. And after 4 days she told media that all roads are repaired and she is now taking her statement back. This whole patch up work was of cost somewhere around Rs. 22-25 crores. But if you got the chance to see some roads there no work was done and if work was completed then it was of very bad quality.
Now after monsoons are over PMC had called the tenders for new Patch up work and again that tender is given to same contractor. And when media pressurize PMC officials then they told media that they have given the contract on the basis of lowest bid.
My question to them is Does the lowest bid is the only factor to consider the contractor?
And can’t they blacklist the contractor for any future project if he didn’t work as per there schedule and quality work.

In city of Pune 70% of traffic jams are because of diversions and bad road conditions but PMC least bother about that and they keep filling their pockets from the under table money given by contractors.
Now just before municipal elections PMC has done some surveys for better transportation system in city like Metro, bus transit system, Trams, SkyBus etc. And they have spent more than 10 crores just for getting the proposals from various companies. And they have cleared some projects also to make a better vote bank from local people.
I can’t figure out when the bridges in pune are going to complete. They started around three years back just after when I shifted to pune and they are still ON and there is no official end date for them. They are aking condition even worst.

I have never seen a traffic police challaning a PMT bus for violating the traffic rule. Its feel like they have official right to break rule as they are govt. servant. These kinds of actions have to be taken to provide better traffic conditions.

People are also equally responsible for this bad situations on roads especially two wheelers riders. They change the lanes, overtake from wrong side and take turns without any indications etc. So we also have to follow traffic rules to give a better city.

If govt. thinks of proving better transportation system then no. of vehicles will surely decrease and road conditions will be better in the future. And I think if govt. will not take any immediate action on this then its too late for them to improve bad condition in city of Pune.

Reservation in private companies

Two days back I was watching the news channels and they are showing lots of news about reservations. I feel so depress about those news and had switch off my tv. Government had already implemented the reservations in basic education then it is extended to govt. jobs. That was somewhere around 27 % for SC/ST and OBC. But now they have extended it to 54% and also extended it for higher education system too. I can never understand why this is been done. Why not to provide them good primary education, which by anyway govt. is spending 1000’s cores of Rs. to fulfill this. If a student is performing well in his primary education then there is no question that he didn’t get admission in higher education. And if you are providing all education to these category of people then why should there be any kind of reservation in jobs. Government is just spoon feeding them to get good amount of vote bank. Government have also included creamy layer in this. I couldn’t understand this also.

In actual scenario only creamy layer is taking benefit of this reservation i.e. people who actually not required this are having reserved seats everywhere. I still remember my college days there were many students from reserved category and most of them are actually rich and had avail better facilities at there home than students in so called general category.
And students of reserved category can take the seat of general category but vice-a-versa was not allowed.
Currently, if we take the case of lower caste people then by doing this reservation thing rich are becoming more rich and poor becoming poor. So my question to govt. is DO WE REALLY NEED THIS RESERVATION IN THIS DEMOCRATIC COUNTRY WHERE EVERYBODY IS SAID TO BE AT SAME LEVEL?

There can be other better things which can be done to promote poor people of lower caste. But I am sure that reservation can never be a solution to this.
Government is now thinking to implement this for jobs in private companies also. Did govt. ever thing of economic conditions after those implementation?
MNC have no boundation to stay in India. If govt. will pressurize them to implement this then they can move out of this country any moment of time and can setup in other companies like china etc which can give them cheaper things and freedom. One side ministers are callings representative of MNC to setup there plant/office in India to give more jobs and better economic development and on the other hand govt. is thinking on these lines to make those companies leave this country.
Suppose if they don’t get the kind of people from reserved class in jobs they were looking for then they are bounded to reduce the intake quality. Do u think this will be going to happen and will solve there problem?

My only request to govt. is to please try other ways also to uplift lower cast and poor peoples which can solve this problem in better way and please keep their vote bank politics away from lacks of innocent students which are preparing day and night to get admission in reputed colleges and then to get jobs.
